Welcome to Deep Blue Sea Kayaking, course provider on Ireland's East Coast + kayaks & gear
We give sea kayaking courses for all levels from beginner, introductory level to advanced, mainly on the East Coast (Dublin area) of Ireland. We also specialise in sea kayaks, gear and equipment.

Dalkey at duskRolling sessions
Build your confidence & get a solid roll or improve or develop your existing roll. We're holding rolling classes with 1:1 instruction in Dalkey next Tuesday (7th) and the following Tuesday (14th). We have another series starting in February.
For more info, click here.

Vouchers
Would you like a voucher for someone you care about? We do vouchers for any amount: they last until September so effectively you have all next season; you can pay by card over the phone, post a cheque or by Paypal; we can post or email the voucher. It's as easy as a phone call to +353-86-8205627.
Maybe they've expressed in interest in getting out on the water but never got around to it? Buy them a Try Sea Kayaking voucher.

Mulled Wine Paddle
We're running our Mulled Wine paddle on Sunday, 19th December at 10am from Bulloch Harbour. We'll supply extra tops and a warming mulled wine break on Dalkey Island. Click here for full details.

Night Paddle
For anyone who has done an Introductory course, you can experience the magic of Dublin Bay at night. Click here for more information.

Try Sea Kayaking
There's no better way to try sea kayaking. We'll be running sessions from March through November.
The sessions cost 50 (or 45 pp for 2 or more booking together) - this includes kayak and gear. We'll spend a while covering the basics and then will paddle out to see the seals and other wildlife around Dalkey Island. If you have 3 or more people, we're happy to put one on to suit you.

Improver sessions
We're adding some interesting variations to the sessions this winter. If you'd like to do Incident Management (what can go wrong, will), Strokes or Navigation, then these Improver sessions will suit you. The normal sessions will run as usual. For more info, look here.

Celtic Sea & Surf Symposium 2010
We were delighted to organise the Celtic Sea & Surf symposium with Brian Forrest of Northwest Sea Kayaking on the October Bank Holiday. We were really lucky to get some beautiful weather which showed Ardara and South West Donegal at it's best. We had some brilliant surf sessions with top coaches and the sea kayaking was equally special with a circumnav of Aranmore and great paddles around the Slieve League penisula.

ICU Level 3, 4 and 5 Training
We're running a Level 3 training course in February, Level 4 (in 7 different modules) over the winter and a seperate weekend course in late January. We'll be doing a Level 5 course during March.
For more info, click here.

Weekends in the West
We had a great season going west. The best weather was a fantastic weekend off Connemara in August, the most challenging being Donegal with Sligo being somewhere in between.

Greenland paddle making course
Jaysus, it's cold! We'll be running our Greenland paddle making course in Dublin in February 2011. Click here for details.

Shop
Due to technical problems, the shop is not operational at the moment. We do have kayaks and gear for sale. We'll fix this soon. In the meantime, please give us a call if you're looking for anything.
